Chanhassen Veterinary Pet Memorials
Bert, 15
Owned by: Carrie, Karen and Frank
August 17, 1996-December 3, 2011
Favorite memories: First we lost Kacie, Bert's sister...now Bert. Luckily we still have Maggie with all of her positive energy - the happiest dog in the world! I remember when Bert got neutered and was still at the vet, we got a call from our Town home Manager that Kacie was barking like crazy. We rushed home to see that she was in a complete frenzy. We called Chanhassen Vet and they said we could bring her in to see him. When we did, she sniffed him and immediately layed down next to him and fell asleep. She was allowed to stay with him while he recovered. My favorite memory of Bert is when he needed to go home with Dr. Arndt for overnight observation. The next day she asked if he normally slept in bed with us. We said "yes, why?" She said that he had been crying in the kennel so she let him out and he jumped right into bed with her and spent the night there! He had a love affair with water - he would try to sneak under the fence to attack the neighbor's sprinklers when they turned on, he picked up the hose outside so many times that it had holes in it from his teeth, he popped the baby pool we put outside for him to play in, he accidentally bit Karen's foot when she decided it would be a good idea to wash the grass off of her feet with the hose, and when I was washing the car he would constantly bark at me until I sprayed him with water. He was also a trouble maker - if you were in the shower and he wasn't allowed to jump in with you, he would tip the bathroom waste basket over to show you he wasn't pleased. He will be greatly missed. Thank you again for the wonderful care you have provided our family. There is no other place we would want to take our pets. We are forever grateful.
Kacie Jo, 14
Owned by: Carrie, Karen and Frank
August 17, 1996-May 25, 2011
Favorite memories:
Little Kacie Jo was an old soul since the day she was born. She would "talk" in a grumbly old lady voice, have stand-offs going potty outside with us when it was raining because she didn't want to get wet, do what we called the "totem pole" on our laps, bark at Christmas decorations that were on a high shelf, and was always content just to sit on you NO MATTER HOW she had to navigate it. All of you at the Chanhassen Vet took such good care of her and us. Thank you for loving her and helping us to take care of her while she was with us. We are forever grateful for her and for all of you at Chanhassen Veterinary Clinic. - Carrie
Scooter, 10
Owned by: Jane, Randy, Andrea and Eric
February 2001-April 2011
Favorite Memories: Our golden retriever, Scooter - We miss you so much. We walked every day no matter what the weather. We miss you sleeping on the part of the sectional that was yours, coming with us on car rides, going to the airport dog park, coming into the kitchen whenever we were cooking, your nails on the floor and your tail wagging. Scooter boy - you are sadly missed.
Cita, 15
Owned by: Rob Holland and Ann Drivenes
April 1994-March 2010
Favorite Memories: Our sweet little girl. We miss her terribly. She fell asleep peacefully on "Daddy's" lap only two weeks from turning 16 years old. What an amazing dog she was. Always happy...her favorite spot was the couch. She also loved riding in the car, and she loved food!! She will always have a special place in our hearts....Rob, Ann, Dollar and Chloe.
Hagrid, 12 years young
Owned by: Jodi Arndt
Favorite Memories: Rolling down the driveway in his cart with a big smile on his face. What a pugster!
Samatha Sue, 10/17/95 -03/17/09
Owned by: Mike & Melissa Wagner
Favorite Memories: Sammy, our sweet Golden, loved to travel and enjoyed going to the race track. She was everyone's favorite dog at the track. Everytime we would pack the race trailer, she would get excited. She knew it was about time to head to the track and see all the kids. Besides racing, she loved to hunt and play pick-a-boo. She will be deeply missed.
Ozzie, 1994--2008
Owned by Tammy Knutson
Favorite Memories: Ozzie was such a loyal friend. Always happy to see us when we got home. And until the last couple years, an abundance of energy and wanting to retrieve toys all the time. We'll miss her.
Fox, January 2001-February 2009
Owned by Tom, Sue, Robert, & Kristina Harold
Favorite Memories: Dear Fox is lost to us in this world at least, warm blonde fur, (0k hair everywhere); his Fan tail is not swinging back & forth with glee, there's no more tip-tap toenails on the kitchen tiles, whenever the fridge is opened. We cry a little bit, missing him with his happy sloppy grin. The sound of growly joy, grabbing shoes to say hello, is missing in the morning, afternoon, and night. A sad vacancy of his sweet spirit is pervasive, even for the cats, who wonder, where did that big guy go?
